At Planning SessionsAt Ward Meetings . . . and on the streets

It has been some time since I sent out a newsletter so there are several issues to discuss.

Before I get to the issues, I want to thank the people of the Fifth Ward for returning me to office with 62% of the vote.  This election was particularly difficult since I was in the hospital twice and could not campaign for much of the time.  I was absolutely overwhelmed by the people who stepped forward to help me.  If it had not been for them I would not have been able to get most of my campaign materials out to you.  I cannot even begin to thank all of those people, but I hope a simple thank you will suffice for now.  My wife and son worked tirelessly to help me get my letters out to you.  I also want to thank the many voters who supported me—without them I could not have the opportunity to serve you for another term.

MY HEALTH

As for my health, I am getting back to normal.  I have no long-term physical problems and I will be able to serve you as your alderman.  I do need to curtail some other activities, but serving you is a priority for me.
